Education and Career:1980's: Completed a degree in Oceanography from Humboldt State University, Teaching Credential and Masters of Education from the College of Notre Dame in Belmont California. Worked for the Catalina Island Marine Institute and The Marine Science Institute of Redwood City.
1990 - 2022: Began working as a public school educator at Woodside Elementary in Woodside California and then Olympus Junior High in Roseville California (2000- 2022)
